By Tyler Rampersaud –  August 24, 2026

New Genesis Of San Bruno Dealership Opens

Genesis is making undeniable waves in the automotive industry, coming on the scene just over a decade ago with a pair of luxury sedans on offer. Since then, it has introduced highly successful SUV models, electric vehicles, a performance division, a plethora of eye-catching concepts, and most recently, a new SUV flagship, the all-electric GV90. As the Genesis lineup evolves to fill more niches in the luxury automotive industry, its network of American retailers has been expanding as well. The latest is Genesis of San Bruno, a new retailer on the San Francisco Peninsula. Owned and operated by Cardinale Automotive Group, a longtime Genesis retail partner, the new San Bruno location joins locations like Genesis of Corona and Genesis Mountain View. Other Cardinale Automotive Group dealerships include locations for other luxury manufacturers, like Porsche San Luis Obispo. For the nationwide Genesis retailer count, the new Genesis of San Bruno makes 85 standalone facilities in the United States. About the new location, Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, commented, “As a key market for Genesis and home to a growing community of consumers who value design and innovation, Northern California plays an important role in our continued growth. The opening of Genesis of San Bruno expands our presence in the region and brings our signature hospitality and ownership experience to more customers.” <- Gallery -> As part of the celebration for the grand opening, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to Peninsula Girls Chorus, and Genesis Motor America donated $10,000 to San Bruno AYSO Region 249 through Genesis Gives. Opening another location in Northern California, Genesis of San Bruno’s grand opening marks another milestone in the brand’s meteoric rise within the luxury automotive market. The New All-Electric Genesis GV90 Is A Flagship Full-Size Luxury SUV

By Tyler Rampersaud –  August 20, 2026

Genesis Reveals New GV90 Flagship Luxury Electric SUV

Just over a decade into its existence as a manufacturer, Genesis has already shown the ability to create excellent and highly popular luxury vehicles, including sumptuous and sporty sedans, as well as practical and glamorous SUVs, and highly innovative electric vehicles. This year, the brand has not only achieved impressive success in the luxury automotive market, but has expanded its reach, taking on the top class of endurance racing with Genesis Magma Racing, and introducing the roadgoing GV60 Magma performance EV. Now, Genesis is reaching even higher in terms of luxury by revealing the new GV90, an all-electric, full-size, flagship luxury SUV. Unveiled at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, the new GV90 is based on the NEOLUN concept that was showcased in 2024. The concept envisioned an all-electric flagship SUV from Genesis, with ample space and opulent design, and the new GV90 continues to embody that ethos. It’s built on an eMP platform made exclusively for Genesis’ flagship lineup, and sets out to define a new chapter for the manufacturer’s flagships, with incredible safety, driving dynamics, ride comfort, and technology. Two variants of the new Genesis GV90 will be made, the Neolun, whose “Neolun Arch Gate” offers the world’s first independently opening and closing hidden B-pillar coach-style doors, and the standard GV90, which features conventional doors. Some of its groundbreaking features include the world’s first roof airbag, a 123.5-kWh battery, multi-chamber air suspension, a pop-up center OLED Cinematic Display, a 25-speaker sound system from Bang & Olufsen, and many more. <- Gallery -> With the Neolun Arch gate, the front and rear doors can swing open, hiding the B-pillar to reveal an expansive entry way, emphasizing Genesis’ philosophy of generous hospitality. The effect is achieved with a newly-developed dual-motion hinge mechanism. Before completely opening, the rear doors slide slightly outward, so that when they do open, they don’t impede the front doors. In the absence of a B-pillar, the structure of the vehicle features high-strength steel beams to maintain rigidity. The 127.8-inch wheelbase of the new Genesis GV90 allows for an impressively spacious interior, especially with a flat floor and a slim cockpit design. In the Neolun, the front seats have a motorized swiveling function, which allows them to swing 180 degrees while parked with the push of a button to facilitate conversation. Meanwhile, the high-tech battery features the largest capacity seen in Hyundai Motor Group's electric vehicles, with a range of approximately 310 miles for the 7-seater GV90, and the ability to fast charge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 22 minutes with 350-kW fast charging. With dual-motor all-wheel drive, the combined system output of the new Genesis GV90 is an impressive 657 horsepower and 590 lb/ft of torque. Providing impressive dynamics for the new Genesis GV90 are a multi-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering, while comfort is further enhanced by the use of world-leading acoustic glass and other painstaking noise reduction efforts. An innovative luxury driving experience in the new GV90 eliminates the start button. Instead, the driver pulls the door handle, which powers on the vehicle and closes the door automatically. Then, the column shifter moves from 12 o’clock to 2 o’clock, the Crystal Sphere Controller rotates, and the tweeter covers move to reveal the speakers, indicating that the vehicle is ready to drive. Pressing the brake pedal starts the vehicle. An OLED Cinematic Display with an impressive 23.6 inches in size is complemented by a 25-inch Head-Up Display instead of an instrument cluster, displaying navigation prompts, speed, and other information across a wide projection space. A heated windshield, used for the first time for Hyundai Motor Group, efficiently removes frost and condensation. GV90 Neolun Executive Suite features a four-seat configuration with opulent features like a heated wood veneer floor, a partition between the rear seats and the cargo compartment, roll blinds, and a glass roof with six zones for modulating transparency. Semi-Aniline leather upholstery is standard, and other amenities include a second-row tower console, a refrigerator, and integrated tables. Other touches of opulence in the cabin include crystal buttons that use real glass, motorized air vents, trims in wood, stone, or wool cashmere, and more. Interior configurations for the new GV90 include Veiled Indigo with Puglia Green, Folio Brown with Batiste Blue, Vault Black with Shadow Gray, Tyrian Purple with Travertine Beige, and Saddle Brown with Shadow Gray. The GV90 Neolun offers exclusive interior palettes, like Regal Navy and Majestic Purple, Quince Brown, Vault Black and Shadow Gray, Tyrian Purple and Travertine Beige, and Saddle Brown and Shadow Gray. The exterior design of the new Genesis GV90 is inspired by Korean tradition, specifically the moon jar. As such, it combines minimalism with elegant proportions and jewel-like details. 16 distinctive exterior colors are available, including 13 glossy finishes and three elegant matte colors. The new Genesis GV90 Neolun First Edition is an ultra-exclusive limited release that caters to the brand’s elite clientele. It features the Executive Suite configuration, a two-tone exterior, and 24-inch wheels finished in the body color. Inside, wool cashmere trims come standard, and the first edition logo is engraved in the Crystal Sphere controller. The three available color combinations for the First Edition include Jaipur Rose and Seychelles Beige with a Quince Brown interior, Vik Black and Baena Green with a Veiled Indigo and Puglia Green interior, and Vik Black and Sonoran Navy with a Majestic Purple and Regal Navy interior. With opulent details, elegant, uncompromising design, and industry-first features, the all-electric Genesis GV90 is not only redefining Genesis’ luxury potential, but shaking up the full-size luxury SUV market as a whole. Going from luxury sedans to SUVs and electric models, with several concepts teasing an even more diverse lineup in the future, Genesis has quickly become one of the most popular and celebrated names in automotive luxury. However, one of the most anticipated ventures from the brand was the emergence of Magma, the performance division of Genesis. Starting as a group of sportier concept cars, Magma became the official performance arm of the brand, with a racing team that’s taking on the FIA WEC and a production road car: the GV60 Magma. A high-performance variant of the all-electric Genesis GV60, the new GV60 Magma features up to 641 horsepower, with engineering solutions, features, and design touches dedicated directly to performance and a driver-focused ethos. Making the bold choice of introducing its performance lineup with an EV as the first Magma model, the GV60 Magma makes use of dual-motor all-wheel drive and various driving modes for a thrilling driving experience. <- Gallery -> For the United States market, the pricing for the new Genesis GV60 Magma has finally been announced, and the new all-electric performance luxury vehicle carries an MSRP of $69,950. By Tyler Rampersaud –  July 14, 2026

Golfer Tom Kim Wins A New Genesis GV60 Magma

The Genesis Scottish Open golf tournament took place at The Renaissance Club between July 9 and 12. The prize fund totaled $9 million, and its winner, Tom Kim, secured the title after completing the North Berwick, Scotland, course 17 under par, with a 64-shot, bogey-free final round. Two shots ahead of his closest competitors, Min Woo Lee and Robert MacIntyre, the South Korean Golfer not only won the winner’s prize of $1,575,000, but also a new Genesis GV60 Magma. The newest all-electric model from Genesis, the GV60 Magma also serves as the debut production model from the Magma performance arm of the Genesis brand. Magma, named after the signature Magma Orange color, originated from a series of dramatic performance-oriented concepts. Soon after, the Magma brand was born, and along with it came a racing team that recently took on and finished the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and, thus far, one production model: the GV60 Magma. Combining a robust electric powertrain with dedicated dynamics, driver-focused features, and a sporty design, the GV60 Magma is the start of a new chapter for the rapidly growing Genesis brand, bringing forth a combination of performance and luxury with its Magma brand. <- Gallery -> At the Genesis Scottish Open tournament, the Fan Zone featured a new Genesis Public Lounge, and other activations for the over 91,000 visitors to the tournament. In addition, a fleet of 135 Genesis cars was present at the tournament, offering chauffeuring for players, officials, and partners. Another fourteen cars were on display around the course. First showcased at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Genesis also brought its Box Buggy Concept during the tournament. The design envisions a high-tech vehicle for short journeys, combining Genesis’ luxurious design with a futuristic approach to a short-distance vehicle. A milestone moment in Genesis’ commitment to the sport of golf, the Genesis Scottish Open, and the GV60 Magma’s role as a prize car, is an important moment in the growth of the brand. Genesis Unveils The New Magma GT3 Concept At Le Mans

By Tyler Rampersaud –  June 12, 2026

Genesis Reveals New Magma GT3 Concept

In its first decade as a marque in the automotive industry, Genesis went from having a lineup of a handful of luxury sedans to being one of the most influential and formidable luxury brands in the market. Rather than resting on its laurels, however, Genesis instead introduced a performance arm: Magma. Previewed by performance-oriented concepts that all wore the same striking Magma Orange color, the first production Magma model is the GV60 Magma, an all-electric performance SUV. Meanwhile, the Genesis Magma Racing team was also formed and is now about to take on its first 24 Hours of Le Mans with its GMR-001 endurance hypercar. That’s the story so far, but it’s only the beginning for Magma, as Genesis has unveiled the new Magma GT3 Concept at Le Mans, previewing ambitions of an even bigger motorsport presence and a larger emphasis on performance going forward. The new Magma GT3 Concept was showcased alongside the Magma GT Concept, a concept supercar that envisions Genesis style combined with high-performance engineering. However, the GT3 Concept previews a possible future for Genesis Magma Racing that sees it exploring the GT3 racing category by designing a car for the racing category, rather than approaching the technical regulations with an existing roadgoing model. The Magma GT Concept was first unveiled in November 2025, and at Le Mans, the supercar concept has been given an all-new interior, combining technology and elegance with an analog feel. Meanwhile, the Magma GT3 Concept teases an expansion beyond the FIA WEC Hypercar program that Genesis Magma Racing currently has. Developed in line with current GT3 racing regulations, the GT3 takes a racing-first approach to its design, rather than adapting a road car for racing. Its aggressive design includes wider tracks than the GT, a fixed wing, door-mounted fins, and advanced thermal management solutions. <- Gallery -> Genesis seeks to use its motorsport presence as a catalyst for global expansion, specifically to stoke its European presence. The brand is expanding to markets like Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Spain, and has its sights set on more countries like Poland, Austria, Portugal, and Denmark in the long term. As such, Genesis is showcasing other concepts at Le Mans, as well, specifically two evolved versions of the X Gran Convertible Concept. Incorporating Magma design touches, the new concepts are incorporated more into the growing Genesis Magma brand than before. One concept features a Liquid Titanium exterior, incorporating the performance-oriented design touches of Genesis Magma Racing more obviously, while the other Midnight Teal car features a more elegant, luxury-focused aesthetic, incorporating tartan-inspired fabric in the interior. Genesis brand ambassador and motorsport legend Jacky Ickx, as well as Genesis Magma Racing trajectory driver Jamie Chadwick, will be driving the Genesis X Gran Convertible Concept cars. With a rapidly growing presence full of exciting, enthusiast-focused ambitions for both the motorsport and roadgoing aspects of the brand, Genesis Magma is going into its first 24 Hours of Le Mans already looking forward. Genesis Magma Racing Reveals Special Livery For Le Mans Debut

By Tyler Rampersaud –  June 04, 2026

Genesis Debuts Livery For Le Mans Debut

Genesis Magma Racing is in the midst of its inaugural season of the FIA World Endurance Championship, and rapidly approaching is the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most legendary and historic races in all of motorsport. The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans will be Genesis’ debut at the race, and for the occasion, the pair of GMR-001 hypercars that will be taking on the challenge have a special livery. The striking design features a gradient from a deep red shade to the team’s signature Magma Orange, with several nods throughout to the brand’s Korean roots. The colors, evoking lava, serve as a reference to the volcanic origins of the Korean Peninsula, and the shift from Magma Orange at the front to red at the back offers a sense of speed and visualizes the Doppler effect. Korean hangul for “Magma” (마그마) is displayed across the length of the livery in a contrasting gradient effect for the special livery. Both the #17 and #19 cars that will be racing in this year’s 24 Hours of Le  Mans will sport the livery. To differentiate them, the #19 car will feature white logos, while the #17 car will sport orange and black logos. To perfect the design for the special livery, Genesis Magma Racing partnered with HEXIS. Focusing especially on perfecting the gradient, HEXIS, its expertise, and its latest generation of wrapping films were crucial in ensuring that the pair of endurance racing hypercars looked their best both at a standstill and at full speed. HEXIS and Genesis Magma Racing made use of ultra-conformable adhesives to enhance the colors of the livery from every angle, which also boast the ability to withstand the demanding conditions of endurance racing, like fast-flowing air, track debris, and intense heat. HEXIS Bodyfence paint protection film is used in the livery to protect the design without adding unnecessary weight. With a special livery for its first race on the legendary, century-old stage, Genesis Magma Racing is making sure that its 24 Hours of Le Mans debut is a beautiful one. Genesis Explains The GT & Sprint Driving Modes In The New GV60 Magma

By Tyler Rampersaud –  April 07, 2026

The New Genesis GV60 Magma’s Exclusive Driving Modes

Genesis is inaugurating its performance-oriented Magma production lineup with a performance version of its GV60, the GV60 Magma, and it combines immense electric power with luxurious appointments, cutting-edge technology, driver-focused engineering, and, of course, the signature Magma Orange color that served as the namesake for the new performance division. As Genesis launches the new GV60 Magma, the manufacturer has revealed its top speed and acceleration figures previously, along with other details about its performance engineering solutions. The latest announcement from Genesis, however, details the GV60 Magma’s two dedicated Magma driving modes: GT and Sprint. Both driving modes are accessible by toggling between them with the Magma button, which is located on the left side of the Genesis GV60 Magma’s steering wheel. In GT mode, the car strikes a signature balance of performance and comfort, the underlying philosophy behind the Genesis Magma lineup. However, the Sprint mode focuses purely on performance, giving the driver access to the full power output and uncompromised performance character. <- Gallery -> The 15-second auto-boost function is made available intuitively by fully pressing down on the accelerator pedal, including in GT mode. However, Sprint mode introduces additional functions, like Launch Control, which is activated when the brake and accelerator are both pressed at a standstill. The car also pays homage to ICE engine performance wtih a Virtual Gear Shift function, designed to replicate the feel of driving a V6-powered car with an 8-speed DCT. The system features different shift patterns that transform the driving experience in the different available driving modes. Two external speakers simulate engine sounds, with a choice between a futuristic EV sound and an engine that revs to 9,000 rpm. With dedicated performance character and dynamic drive modes with unique driver-focused features, the new Genesis GV60 Magma is the first look at Genesis’ take on luxury performance cars. Genesis Is Launching 22 New & Enhanced Vehicles Through 2030

It’s only been a decade since Genesis was first established as a luxury automotive manufacturer, and in that time, it’s become one of the most formidable players in the luxury car arena. With compelling luxury sedans and SUVs, as well as electric models, Genesis already has a diverse selection of cars, and the Magma performance division is also taking shape with the GV60 Magma. However, if you’ve been following the slew of concept cars that Genesis has showcased recently, you would know that plenty of even more exciting ideas have been showcased by the brand. These include a Vision Gran Turismo grand tourer, a mid-engined supercar, a luxury performance wagon, a massive convertible and coupe, a retrofuturistic off-road SUV, and a rally-capable all-terrain racer. As exciting as those all sound, even as concept cars, some of those ideas might make their way into Genesis’ production car lineup, as the brand has just announced at the New York International Auto Show that it plans to introduce 22 new or enhanced vehicle launches through 2030. “Genesis reached one million cumulative sales faster than any other luxury brand in history, and we are just getting started,” said Genesis President and CEO José Muñoz. “Today we are committing to 22 new or significantly enhanced vehicles in North America by 2030, spanning new powertrains, new segments, and experiences designed around the Korean tradition of treating every customer as our son-nim, our honored guest. Whatever a customer's preference, whatever powertrain fits their life, there will be a Genesis for them." The new models are said to include both SUVs and passenger cars, and with them, new advanced powertrains, core models and trims will be a part of Genesis’ product offering. The announcement comes along with Hyundai Motor Group’s $26 billion investment in the United States, including greater manufacturing and technology capabilities within the country. Catering to US-based customers and US industry, Genesis is on the cusp of radically expanding its presence as a manufacturer after a decade of impressive success. By Tyler Rampersaud –  April 01, 2026

Genesis’ 2026 FIA WEC Livery Revealed

Genesis Magma Racing was announced in late 2024, giving the team under 500 days to come together in time for its debut racing season in the FIA WEC, which is under two weeks from commencing with the 6 Hours of Imola. With the team fully assembled and the driver lineup announced, Genesis Magma Racing has now unveiled the livery that it will be racing with during the season. Powered by a 3.2-liter turbocharged V8 with a hybrid system built to LMDh regulations, the Genesis GMR-001 racing hypercar makes use of a chassis from Oreca. However, the car also features several signature design touches from Genesis, like two-line headlights, and touches similar to the general aesthetic Genesis vehicles on the road have become known for. Ahead of the season, the car has already completed thousands of miles of testing to ensure its ability to see through the intense endurance races in the season ahead, and as the team prepares to head into its debut season, it’s starting with the goal of making sure it finishes each race on the calendar, with greater ambitions lying ahead. <- Gallery -> The livery features several nods to Genesis’ Korean heritage, as the marque is the first Korean manufacturer in the FIA WEC. The car wears the Korean flag, as well as hangul writing for “magma” (마그마). The Magma Racing logo borrows shapes from the hangul in its geometric logo, as well. With a new car and livery that is ready to take on the 2026 FIA WEC, Genesis is days away from shaking up the endurance racing landscape. View All Genesis For Sale Image Source: Genesis

By Tyler Rampersaud –  March 31, 2026

Genesis Magma Racing Announces Driver Lineup

Along with a lineup of production performance cars that is beginning to unfurl, Genesis’ Magma division is also a racing team that is about to take on the top class of this year’s FIA WEC. That season is starting in April with the 6 Hours of Imola, and Genesis has announced that the team has been assembled within the short 499-day window between the announcement of Genesis Magma Racing and the start of the 2026 season of the FIA WEC. Now, the team’s driver lineup has also been announced for the debut season of Genesis Magma Racing, and it consists of drivers who represent championship winning talent, development expertise, years of racing experience, and youthful ambition alike. Team Principal Gabriele Tarquini says, “We have focused on the things we can control. In engineering, that’s the reliability and performance of the car, in team management, it’s the processes and for me, it’s the driver lineups.” <- Gallery -> Between the two GMR-001 hypercars that will take part in the upcoming racing season, six drivers will take part in the top class of this year’s FIA WEC with Genesis Magma Racing: André Lotterer, Pipo Derani, and Mathys Jaubert in the #17 car, and Daniel Juncadella, Mathieu Jaminet, and Paul-Loup Chatin in the #19 sister car. Jaminet brings expertise and success from IMSA to the new team, as Juncadella does from GT racing, and Chatin won an FIA WEC race, the 2025 6 Hours of Fuji, behind the wheel of a hypercar with the same Oreca chassis as the GMR-001. With a diverse cast of driving talent, Genesis Magma Racing’s top-class endurance racing ambitions are set up for success as the 2026 FIA WEC season draws nearer.
